Why Should I Get An Ultrasound?
Ultrasound helps identify a viable pregnancy. Viable means you have a developing pregnancy with a detectable heartbeat.
An ultrasound will also determine how far along you are by measuring the size of the fetus. Finally, an ultrasound will detect the location of the fetus. If the fetus is growing outside of the uterus, it is an ectopic pregnancy that could be life-threatening.
Can I be pregnant and have an STI?
Yes. Being pregnant and having a sexually transmitted infection (STI) is possible. An untreated STI while pregnant can harm you and the fetus resulting in further infection if you choose to have an abortion. We provide free testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.
